A full 24 hours!
I’ve gone a full 24 hours without a cigarette! This is a first in many years.
Goodnight.
I QUIT!
Today is the first day being smoke-free in almost 6 years!
This first day has been pretty rough, I must say. Every few minutes, the urge to go have a cigarette is there, but having tried quitting in the past, the urge does subside rather quickly in comparison. Perhaps it is more of the habit of smoking […]
Day 4-7
I just finished my last cigarette. Ever. I hope. FOR SURE.
The past few days were pretty normal. I have noticed that since I started taking Chantix 2 times a day (morning and evening), I have been a bit more tired all day and evening than usual. There has been very little nausea.

Day 2-3
Yesterday and today, I kept taking the .5mg dose once per day as required. Not a whole lot to report just yet.
SLIGHT nausea and a good amount of dreams - neither of which I am prepared to attribute to Chantix yet. Aside from that, I am feeling pretty good about things. In the evenings, it […]

1. Risk of cancer and heart disease
2. I am quickly getting more and more out of shape (stairs embarrass me)
3. My girlfriend has a 3 year old that I […]
Pre-quit excitement/anxiety
I am looking forward to the 23rd of October to start on Chantix. Actually, I am looking forward to it slightly too much; I get a little anxious about the quitting when I think about it.
I figure I should be completely honest and straight-forward if I am going to do a public blog about […]
I’ve decided to quit…
I have no intentions for this section of my blog to become a soapbox for me to belch out everything smokers have already heard. If you want to quit, great. If you haven’t decided or are still looking into quitting, that’s fine, too.
I figured that writing as often as possible about my experiences with quitting […]
